MY STORY

Luiza Schmidt (1994), born in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. She lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland. She has a degree in Journalism from Estácio de Sá University and an MBA in Business Management. Today, she works as an independent craftswoman and is studying theater.

Tapestry came into her life when she was a child, at the age of 7, watching her mother, Ana Maria, tapestry at home. She participated in her mother's hobby in a light and unpretentious way. At the age of 27, as soon as she moved to Brasília, she joined a group of women who met to spend the afternoon together talking and making rugs.

Her interest in tapestry was awakened with force. Luiza remembered some stitches from her childhood, learned others, perfected her technique and saw in tapestry an opportunity to combine art with work. Thus, the idea for Textur was born, which was developed and tested throughout 2024.
